Dialed In 113: Nexus One gets multi…
2/3/2010
Finally, the Nexus One gets an OS update that gives it multitouch. The update also brings 3G connectivity improvements and access to Google Goggles. We also discuss the latest Android news, such as the Motorola Devour from Verizon Wireless, a possible new direct-from-Google phone from Motorola, an AT&T 3G version of the Nexus One, and a couple of new Android phones from HTC. Some non-Android news includes the latest Sony Ericsson Aspen and the RIM BlackBerry Tour 9650. Then we go over our week's reviews and answer your questions.

Dialed In Podcast 112: iPad, schmiP…
1/27/2010
Apparently, there was something called the Apple iPad announced today. We're not really sure what all the hubbub is about, but we share a few thoughts on the device and take a couple of jabs at its unfortunate name. Also, though there was no mention of iPhone 4.0, there was plenty of other cell phone and smartphone news. The FCC goes after Google and the carriers about their ETFs; Motorola teases a new handset that will be revealed during the Super Bowl; and Microsoft begins its push for Windows Mobile 7. All this and more on this week's information-packed episode of Dialed In.

Dialed In 111: Bonnie's on assignm…
1/20/2010
Other than "stop the presses!" the next best thing a journalist can say is that a colleague is "on assignment." It sounds so mysterious and important and I was glad to be able to say it this week about Bonnie. Ms. Cha had to miss Dialed In this week because she's off to a Nokia press event in New York City. We don't know exactly what will happen, but Ovi should take front and center.
Without Bonnie and Skype Nicole, Jason and I managed to hold down the fort with talk of bling-worthy phones, Zune phone rumors and complaints about the Nexus One. Nicole also got to try a new Bluetooth headset, Kent offers the scoop on Spaniards and voice mail and Jason wonders what business Versace has making cell phones.

Kent kicks off the podcast this week by reminding our dear listeners that Verizon iPhone rumors are just rumors. Until Steve Jobs says differently, he's not ready to believe a thing. New New Yorker Bonnie is taking the week off, but Nicole signs on to give her take on Android fragmentation, a costly new LG phone and the quality a Rock for Verizon.

On this week's episode of Dialed In, we discuss the possibility of an actual "Gphone" and its ramifications. Plus, Kent has a few things he would like to get off his chest about Sony Ericsson, and Nicole takes a look at a Bluetooth headset with a one-of-a-kind design.
