Going into its 7th season, TERRA: The Nature of Our World is proud to bring you stories from around our planet – vignettes of people, places, and all sizes and shapes of critters. Through these stories, we form connections with nature, animals, and our Earth, as well as other human beings. These connections are what truly makes life on our Earth worth living. The TERRA staff remain committed to bringing you the best in independently produced science and nature programming from around the globe. We are proud of our archive of more than 200 unique films that highlight stories and experiences that are the heart and soul of our natural world. We invite you to join us and to discover the science, nature, technology, and culture in these stories as we explore what truly constitutes life on Earth. These shows are meant for broad distribution. We package them for your iPod, iPad, and smart phone. You can email them, download them, and even embed them. We want these stories to be heard — each month we total over 100,000 views. We encourage you to sift through our archive and we hope you look forward to our upcoming shows. These films are the visual records of six years on our planet, and these stories help to create a portrait of our world, which at times appears very fragile. We live in a time where decisions about ever-dwindling resources, changing climates, and energy insecurity are shaping the livelihoods and futures of the next generations. This is a time to listen to science, to shun politics, and to become engaged in creating a sustainable society. TERRA is run by graduate students in the MFA in Science and Natural History Filmmaking Program at Montana State University. We are dedicating our time and energy to bring you this unique programming. We welcome your feedback, and we will continue in our humble pursuit to deliver fresh and inspiring content. We appreciate the hundreds of producers that have contributed their films for TERRA. Without the generosity of these filmmakers, none of this would be possible. And most of all, we thank you for watching. Knowing you are out there is what keeps us going!

Trust is a 10-part series about a perfect trifecta. The Public Trust Doctrine is a legal doctrine that traces back to Roman times and holds governments accountable to protect the resources we all share in common and depend upon for our very survival. The principle of inter-generational justice is enshrined in international human rights law and simply put, it means that the adults can't have a party on the planet and leave it a mess for our kids. Combine the Public Trust Doctrine with the principles of inter-generational justice and passionate youth who are fighting for their future in both the courts and on the streets, and we have the perfect trifecta. Why? Because youth across the country are bringing legal actions - based on trust - against the federal and state governments so we will all open our eyes and protect our atmosphere and our futures with smart strategies rooted in science. Part 1: Meet Alec Loorz, a 17-year old climate change activist from Oak View, California. When Alec was 12, he saw Inconvenient Truth for the first time. Since then he has been a dedicated activist for climate change. Part 2: Meet John Thiebes, a 23-year old beginning farmer has set out to change the agricultural practices on a worn-out patch of prairie in the agricultural heart of Montana. Go to http://ourchildrenstrust.org/ to learn more about the campaign.

What began in 1912 as a gracious effort to save the Jackson Hole elk herd from harsh winters, shrinking habitat, and dwindling forage, has morphed into a century-long feeding program on what is now the National Elk Refuge and 22 other State-run feed grounds. This biological experiment has created a petri dish for wildlife disease and is now one of the most contentious, fiercely debated issues in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Feeding the Problem is a balanced and in-depth exploration of this unique conservation dilemma from the people most intimately connected to it.

"Biofilm" is an introduction to a relatively new field of medical research that investigates bacteria colonies known as biofilm. Recent research has shown that biofilm colonies often inhabit wounds of immuno-compromised patients, which consequently result in chronic wounds (wounds that remain open for months and years). Biofilm infections are difficult to treat and can lead to the amputation of limbs.
