  • Star Trek
    • director: J.J. Abrams
    • cast: Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban
    • The greatest adventure of all time begins with Star Trek, the incredible story of a young crew's maiden voyage onboard the most advanced starship ever created: the U.S.S. Enterprise. On a journey filled with action, comedy and cosmic peril, the new recruits must find a way to stop an evil being whose mission of vengeance threatens all of mankind. The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of bitter rivals. One, James Kirk (Chris Pine), is a delinquent, thrill-seeking Iowa farm boy. The other, Spock (Zachary Quinto), was raised in a logic-based society that rejects all emotion. As fiery instinct clashes with calm reason, their unlikely but powerful partnership is the only thing capable of leading their crew through unimaginable danger, boldly going where no one has gone before.

      • Great Movie

      • I'm pretty sure that review means to review the movie.... but anyways The movie was great. The HD version looked great on my Zune and Zune video on the Xbox. I think that this movie really shows us a more exciting side of Star Trek. Can wait for more to come!

      • Plays for Sure - For sure not

      • Microsoft touted (e.g., "pushed" their Playsforsure promo) to all the ipod killers out there...good idea, and then they come out with the Zune (which, of course, pissed off all the ipod killer partners that MS had partnered with - Creative, Samsung, etc.
MS - c'mon, people!  You've got all these cool platforms (Zune, Xbox, Media Player, Media Center, and, of course, W7...yet, you can't get them to play in the same sandbox together.
Buy a movie - and get a digital copy.  Download the digital copy - and you can play on your computer...but, can't play on the Zune.  Why?
        Who knows.
Hint to MS:  You want to dominate the (any category) - do what Apple does:  make your stuff work with each other...play with with the other children in the sandbox.  Don't create one product that doesn't work with another.  Media player should integrate with Zune and Media Center.  Zune should work with media player and/or media center.  XBox should work with zune, media player, and media center.

Is this so hard to understand?  Bad enough that you can't control the industrial design of your hardware manufacturers (Again - score points for Apple)...but, dangit...you people know better!

      • Unbelievable!

      • Did you guys forget you would be competing with Netflixs on your own console? Fifteen bucks for SD movies=EPIC FAIL! If you're going to upgrade to HD later, you should have launched the service then, not now. The PS3 folks with their BR player and 1080p must be rolling in the aisles, right now.

      • I have been trying redownload my videos from xbox marketplace, and found out that zune took over.   My console and all my other electrionic devices were stolen in september.  yes, i did a license transfer to the new console i just got in november; had to wait on insurance greens.  kept getting a license error, and still getting it.  most of the shows wont download onto the new console.  emailed xbox about, they just sent me to the error page.  did the redownload too many times to count.  i'm going to ps3 when i can.  zune and microsoft no help either.  i am prior navy and a lot of time my xbox was my only outlet.  i am not the only prior and active duty service member who having this problem.  i am warning xbox and zune, if this problem is not resolved, they may find themselves out of a lot of individual customers but also alot of contracts.  they may find themselves being black listed.

      • @DYNOSLAYER67

      • To answer your question, yes, once you have purchased a movie or tv show, it's yours forever, even if you delete it. Just go to your download history, and re-download any demo, tv show, movie you have ever purchased, without paying for it again. Of course this doesn't apply to movie rentals, which expire 24 hours after you watch them. And I agree with everyone here; no hd movie purchase is garbage.

      • Why Microsoft Why?

      • Why in the world would you do anyway with a video playback system on the the Xbox that worked to replace it with Zune which simply DOES NOT WORK.  Either fix Zune or kill it- don't go spreading its infection to new platforms.  You can barely handle what you got! No need for my family to invest in MS Points any longer.
