      • Hey Cody, Sorry you had to cancel your trip! But it's worth it to keep a job right now, since those are so scarce nowadays. I quit my retail job at this expensive boutique cause my bosses were incredible bitches, and moved across the street to Superkind, our local hippie shop. My sister's flamboyantly pregnant, probably gonna pop in three weeks! I'm so excited to help raise a child, it's going to be wonderful, minus the whole changing diapers and crying thing. I just got back a couple hours ago from San Francisco, I was there for a week. The Academy of Art was amazing, and so was the city. We went to Haight & Ashbury, where the whole hippie movement happened. It's still incredibly liberal and free-spirited, though sort of corrupted and lost in a sense by all the drugs. Nevertheless, we walked down Jerry Garcia and Janis Joplin's road, hung out in their town, I loved it! If you ever feel like going to a city, fuck New York, go to San Francisco. It's clean, and a lot less crowded. Given it's expensive as shit, it's worth it. I'll definitely shoot you a text sometime!

      • Sweeeet, new placee!!! That's going to be a fun adventure, or at least I hope it will be :) I got home around 1am Delaware time this morning, and prior to that I was up for over 30 hours traveling. On our 14 hour flight from Sydney to LA, I was in front of this woman with a baby and a pterodactyl three year old, and behind a spoiled 8-year old who stayed up the whole time playing computer games (each seat had their own entertainment touch screen on the seat in front of them) with his chair reclined the whole way only to push down on my long legs. I was so aggravated, but at least I'm home safe. Australia was incredible. It's a beautiful land with genuinely pleasant people. No where felt unsafe to be at night, no person seemed to feel ashamed of their culture and their country, in fact that's the best quality of the people, their pride. Not to mention the whole country does their part in environmental protection and they do it because they love the land and the animals, not because it's an American fashion fad. I would move to Australia. Most definitely.

      • What the hell haha, I hate when that shit happens! If someone's going to be that close to me, at least talk or have a reason not to! Maybe she's a lesbian? Sometimes, Paul gets too drunk to realize I'm in the same room with him, and I hate it so much because then I start feeling like I did something wrong and then I get all bitchy and sad. We usually always end up in the same place by the end of the night (or by sunrise), but still, I feel like there should be some kind of communication going on. Last weekend though, he popped in Across the Universe and we just talked through the whole thing, which says something, because it's his favorite movie and he's a total Beatles junkie. Needless to say, that was a great night. But I know how you feel about the whole needing to cuddle business, and needing your own house.. With parents around I seriously can't even have friends over for a night.

      • I meant that now I can drink on weekdays in general since there's no school haha Shit, well hopefully everything will work out with paying for the house. I'm sure you can entertain your guests very well.. As for the picture, yeah thanks.. that's what happens when you're stuck in beach traffic!

      • I want the bomb, I want the P.Funk. I want my funk uncut! So summer's incredible. I can get drunk on Monday's now, it's very nice. Glad you got a job! Working's always exciting.. actually, I don't mind my job 'cause it's on the Avenue, thirty seconds from ocean. Sweet news about the house, congrats!

      • WELCOME TO THE WINNERS CIRCLE FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL. (BECAUSE WERE ALL WINNERS) Do you ever feel let down after you reach a goal that you have worked long and hard for? Let's talk about why that happens and how to avoid it. Did you know that people are teleological beings? That means that it is absolutely critical for us to have goals and to know what we want in life. But what happens when we get it? When suddenly the goal we have been working so hard to achieve has been accomplished and now there is nothing to strive toward? Well, most of us have a tendency to flatten out - we shift our energy into neutral, and start to feel deflated and let down. We lose our energy, our creativity and our initiative. Sometimes we feel restless or depressed. If you would like to avoid this trap, learn to set your goals to take you through - not just up to - your objective. In other words, don't wait until you've achieved a goal before setting another one. Goal-setting is a very powerful force. However, it needs to be continuous and ongoing if it is really going to get you anywhere. Of course, you can kick back and rest whenever you want to. But if it's a choice you've made, not something imposed on you by circumstances, it's likely to be a much more satisfying time out. So keep asking yourself, "What's next? What more do I want to do?" It is important to keep growing in all aspects of life, and continuously setting and affirming clear goals is the best way I know to help you do it.
