Oye! My name is Dustin, I'm 23 and currently finishing up school at Washington State University. I listen to everything good and fit no mold. I don't think gangsta is cool, so I may be the minority in America, but after my own incarceration, police shootings, and dysfunction, I've had my fill. ;)Tell them who you really are. They want to know your musical taste too!
Sorry, cut myself off trying to make a new paragraph. Anyway, other than that, not much new is going on. I bought a car, spent the last of my savings on applications to law school, and I'm getting prepared to move (cant wait!). Yourself? You get any dollar tree of Sun Mart birthday presents?
lol, I won't know until sometime January-April, but I did well on my exam, and a bunch of schools are soliciting me right now, so I think I should do fine, granted they don't know my full situation just yet. I was very candid when I wrote my personal statement, so they will know what they are getting into if they do. O
It's not meant to be a burn, but that's just me. Don't get me wrong, I dig Megadeath, but it has to be the right mood, the right day. Fall days, during the daylight hours, cold and clear. Definately.
Metallica I like when I'm lifting, because I like the deeper riffs on the newer albums like St. Anger. Helps me get the bigger weights.
"If Megadeth had a better vocalist/song writer," .......... what???? that is a total burn. dave is a pretty political dude, he is really smart and his songs actually pertain to situations that are happening now.. and i cant believe you dont totally dig dave's voice,, i think he is awesome. but, i guess everyone has their own opinion.. ideas for less commercialized music... hmmm. i say Down is a good start,, it's phil from pantera, and pretty groovy stuff. Snot is a good one, kinda fast jammy rock, and even though you dont like dave's voice, or lyrics much, you should listen to md45. its good stuff.
So you know your Megadeth history....touche....But believe it or not, I actually prefer Garage Days and the stuff they did with Dave Mustain to the newer stuff....However, the lyrical content in Megadeth's stuff is lacking compared to Metallica, which is why I lean towards Metallica. If Megadeth had a better vocalist/song writer, I would totally dig them. Plus, I just got this account, I'm still working on the collection. Give me a month or two, and check it out again...any ideas on less commercial music to point me in a direction?
