9/15/09: Saw Richie Spice + Spanner Banner: Good. Few issues though. The musical arrangement was not tight. Could barely discern the rythm/lead guitar, background vocals. May be due to the venue's accoustics, or my musician ear that is trained to hear flaws. Richie needs to 'spice' up his live shows more - he is very high profile (Beres knows how to get the crowd eating out of his hands). Spanner Banner's set was too short. Still not a bad show.
Just saw Beres in Seattle - dude hasn't lost a step and gave the best live reggae show I have seen in years. Also had the tightest bassie playing in his band.
The fear is that people with huge song catalogs like Beres is that they will leave the audience wanting but Beres was the absolute crowd pleaser. He launched into several acapella sessions with his singers to satisy crowd yelling for more tunes.
Highly recommended to see this brother live. Seattle will not forget this show

Morgan Heritage was in town recently (Mission in Progress tour). If you have a chance to see them, you won't be sorry. Very tight live show, and their new album rocks too.
