      • That's a big friggin' Amen! I'm with you 100% Cannibal Corpse has been out way too long to be called anything else but Death Metal period! I've been studying early (1980s) Black Metal from Sweeden,Germany, Norway, England and it's a big joke compared to todays' Death Metal. I guess it had to start somwhere back in time, but the European Black Metal was just a spinoff of early Thrash/Death Metal with a different twist on it. I'm yet to hear any outstanding 1980s Black Metal. A lot of it was recorded with one mic from a distance like in a garage, The recordings were poorly produced by todays standards. It all was mostly guitar rhytums with no double bass drum beats, no complex arrangements and no heavy guitar lead arrangements, BOORING!! \m/><\m/

      • You're right on again. Goatwhore is about the only US Black Metal group. Obituary has crossed over to Black Metal. I even seen that they are wearing corpse paint. Some people considered Cannibal Corpse Black Metal but they have been out way too long. They are Death Metal all the way!

      • Are you into any Black Metal, if so do you know of any US Black Metal groups? The Black Metal groups I researched are all Europeans, mostly from Norway, Sweeden or Germany.

      • Your'e right. Impending Doom is one of my fav. Just when you think that you heard all of the different variations of Death Metal, alongs come Impending Doom & Nile. They both are unique and outstanding Death Metal Groups. I heard that you are a musician. If so tell me the truth, doesn't Nile arrangements sound so complex that it's hard to beleive that they are a three piece band? \m/><\m/
