I am one of the lucky ones to be related to Tom,
I have not had a chance to comment on the Gainsville Show,(Goose Bumps) is the word!!
I took my 8-year old to that show..Best Show that had meaning to it in 15 years.Thumbs up bro..Stevie was smokin hot as always..And I thank you, or I thank Stephanie at your office.. Uncle Earl used to call me and let me know when and where, or Aunt Pearl would call...
If you ever read this I want to thank you , I took my 5 year old to the Black Crows and you in Tampa 5-6 years ago and of course we had great seats, Bass player came off stage and gave my 5-year old his pick and told him to keep on Rockin...He was standing up in the chairs and no one could see..But when his Uncle Tom came out , from that point in his life he is now a life long Petty fan He is 10 now and
you helped change his life, he now has a les paul
Jr. and getin down,he was born to do it...I can remind you of several moments over the years that you dont remember, like when IN Tampa a
fan came up on stage and it took security way to long to respond.., Blind boys from Alabama was with you then..That was at the Ice palace, maybe 8 years ago//12 years ago the sound check in Orlando,and the welcome home bad azz Party during the show...thats when you set up the back room with enough food and beer and for the whole family..That was sweet..TOO BAD that over the years that some of the family, started to take advantage of your kindness and screwed up the rest of us.But I do want to Thank You GAINSVILLE show was the show I will NEVER FORGET!!! NEVER!!...Next time you come south I will call Stephanie and see if we can get together and let you meet my wife and my 2- boys.Everyone is dieing on us..you better hurry up and hit Florida again..Like i said ORLANDO is long over dueTom we will see ya soon..We have respect not to abuse the privilage that you give us!
