Toronto native and dedicated hip-hop fanatic since his break dancing days of grade school, Thrust would eventually venture from hobby into full-time career for this genre as the years progressed. Sighting acts such as
Public Enemy,
KRS-One and
RUN DMC as a mainstay in his collection, Thrust would first turn some heads as an MC in the group
KGB before going solo in 1995. First with the EP Past, Present, Future and the follow-up single "Rage" b/w "Lights, Camera, Action" in 1996, Thrust also gained additional recognition through sharing the stage with
Redman,
Black Moon,
The Pharcyde, The Roots and
The Fugees as an opening act. The single "Emcee" was released in 1998. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
