Steve Miller is awesome. Check out his first albums(specifically Brave New World). His blues is amazing. Those drums lines in Can't You Hear Your Daddy's Heartbeat are great. Add the bass lines, and Steve Miller and Boz Scaggs with the licks. Not to mention the range this guy has. Listen to Seasons and the octaves he hits time after time. His later stuff is what he's known for, and it's great stuff too, but he was great at blues first.
