The Soungarden

By AXL 36O 11/8/2009 15:28:18
This is a band around when the Seattle scene was beginning to thrive, this band helped cement the widely known Seattle sound, this band was thought to be what Nirvana became to be. This band is amazing in every way, and there is not a one album by this band that cannot be listened to.

The voice - Chris Cornell, helped break barriers on what a hard rock vocalist could do.
The guitar - Kim Thayil, broke barriers on what a guitar could do; this is the feedback king.
The bass - Hiro Yamamoto, groovy and full of life; the king of bass in the late 80s (now in Truly)
The bass - Ben Shepherd, simply an amazing bassist; king of the bass in the early 90s
The drums - Matt Cameron, 7/8 time sigs and he is the only drummer to make it sound like 4/4

Long live Soundgarden.

GO SOUNDGARDEN

By Grunger Dude 9/2/2009 17:44:00
I love Soundgarden, they are one of the greatest grunge bands ever but how come they dont have much plays or listeners seems like AIC & SG are the least known of the grunge bands now PJ &Nirvana are the most known I wish they never broke up Audioslave has only 1 good song & thats like a stone, then Chris goes solo and becomes some soft rock dude and now selling out by having rap and techno in his music Chris whats the matter come on i dont like his solo stuff seems like hes just trying to fit in with music nowadays Chris is awesome but now its seems like hes one of "them" at least matt still rocks hard in PJ

Opening Act

By Sad Little Bugs 4/27/2009 01:30:07
I was lucky enough to catch Soundgarden in their early years...saw them as an opening act. They blew the main group off the stage. Chris Cornell was a raw bundle of engery! Will never forget his voice or his acrobatics!

By DaVe4343 12/8/2008 01:02:18
Audioslave was the band that got me into music, and then when i relized Chris was also in soundgarden, i immediatly fell in love with Soundgarden as well. Definatly one of the best grundge bands there ever was. Wish they would reunite. I wud love to see this band live. THEY ROCK. But alot of peepl jus buy their hits like Black Hole sun, but all of their songs are extremely awesome. I recomend buying their albums. I cannot say i dislike any of their songs. Early days really would be louder than love, Ultramega OK and Screaming life/pop.
I would recommend those for early listening.
I think my current favorite is Louder than love. It always changes though.

BEST BAND OF ALL TIME.
