I've also been listening to shakira since the beginning of her career. She is one of few artists that I know that does a lot more than just sing. Many of her lyrics and music are written by her. Also her songs are full of meaningful lyrics and not junk like many other artists that call themselves stars. Most of my favorite songs are in Spanish but I also love her English ones. Most important at least in my opinion you buy a CD and all the songs are great I never find myself skipping a song, so it is of great value to buy her entire CDs; every CD is full of hits.

i have been listening to Shakira ever since i was 12 y.o.a., but now that i have a Zune, i listen to her everyday. her lyrics have gotten even better compared to when i was younger. i love all of her songs, but my most favorite is Ojos Así, both english and spanish versions. i remember when i got my first Shakira CD, i was so FRIGGIN' happy ;-)

If you ever wanna see a great show. Go see shakira live. She Has a great big band, Plays multiple instruments and Knows how to rile up the crowd. It is a hell of a party.. =]

Growing up listening to Pies Descalzos and Donde Estan Los Ladrones was awesome. Then when she released "Laudry Service" it was just amazing to see how smart her lyrics were layed out in English. I love every single CD but I most admit my fav is Pies Descalzos :o)
