Growing up in Puerto Rico I never had the chance to see them live until I moved to USA.  In 2007, after the launch of the best album ever (sorry Moving Pictures and Permanent Waves), they started their tour in San Juan, PR, and I wanted so bad to go there!!! I hope that on the next tour they start in Japan....

Those are the only 3 words that are needed to describe the band.

Alex is The Man

This news is about two months old so some of you may already know this, but I just read in an interview with Lifeson and all music guide that there was a possibility that Rush could start working on their next album by fall this year, and that not only were they going to produce it with their producer from Snakes & Arrows (Nick what-his face), but that they weren’t throwing out the idea of a double album either. This interview is from February, so I don’t know how accurate it is now but I thought all the Rush fans who haven’t heard would like to know.

Rush is the best band in the world hands down.  No band can touch their awesomeness.  Neil Peart, besides being the best drummer in the world, is the best song writer ever.  His lyrics are so meaningful and powerful.  Geddy Lee is my hero.  I myself am also a bassist and he is my inspiration.  He is also an amazing vocalist.  Alex Lifeson's guitar playing is some of the best ever.  I just sit in awe at the riffs he plays and the phenominal solos.

These guys are beasts.  Geddy, Alex, and Neil are so talented. With Neil's amzing drumming and genius song writting, Alex's complex guitar playing , and Geddy's bass and soaring vocals. Makes Rush the greatest band of all time.

First heard Rush in 76'. Never have been the same about rock music since. The NON sex, drugs and rockin roll lyrics with a positive and good over evil kind of light, have always made since to me. These 3 guys always seemed smarter than the rest and found a path that few have or could have followed. I will never burnout on crankin up this music...it truely is timeless. Lets all keep workin them angels.

Besides my personal opinion(pure fact) that Neil IS the best percussionist on, or off, the planet..Ever..this band doesnt just make noise for profit. There is very deliberate and meaningful content everytime pen is put to paper. There are real experiences of both life and the beliefs and interpretations of the human experience.
 For instance...."2112", side one, is a story they adopted from the book "Anthem", written by Ayn Rand. Absolutely my all time favorite book. If you are one who enjoys pondering the mysteries and possibilities of life...Read This Book.
  Rush is about thought provocing content that all can relate to. Combined with a technical precision and execution of their music most only aspire to, you are left with a band that has earned a spot next to the greatest Rock-n-Roll bands of all time.
