I've been listening to RATM since 1992. No one captures the true soul and sound of a disenfranchised generation, people and culture. Im a hip hop freak. Rage brings me over to metal like a baby in mommas arms

If you listen to thier sound you will experience the meaning of Rock/Metal. When I hear their music, it just seems to be no less than an evolution of Metal.

Once every decade or two a band comes along that changes forever the music scene. The fact that this band could excel with their own sound during the era of the Seattle sound is phenominal. However what's even more important than the messenger is the message. I highly recommend the Maximum Rage bio. I enjoyed learning even more about Rage. Now when I think of Rage the word "genius" comes to mind.
