American Soldier

By Paulecook3 4/4/2009 00:51:09
It's a good album as long as you are not comparing it to their past albums. But on it's own merits it is pretty good. I could do without all of the soldier interviews...but I guess that was the point. If you start with the very first Queensryche EP and listen to each ensuing album, they have never made two albums that are similar back to back. They are always changing.

new album?

By MegaDeath 2/24/2009 14:19:24
didn't know they were working on a new album.  i'll buy it, but i was very disappointed in mindcrime2.  mindcrime1 is my favorite album of all time.  i'd rank the albums :
1-OMC1
2-The Warning (Roads to Madness is the best song they've ever recorded)
3-Empire (a huge letdown after mindcrime, but still a pretty good album)
4-Rage For Order
5-Promised Land (a letdown after empire.  it's at this point that i decided they had lost it and the next few albums pretty much proved me right)
6-EP
7-Hear in The Now Fontier (i hated this album at first, but a few songs sort of grew on me)
8-OMC2
9-Tribe
10-Q2K

rediculously underappreciated?

By DTFAN89 1/31/2009 20:34:20
I do agree to a point.
They did have a few CD's in a row that lost the flair that made them famous Tribe and Q2K.
I am a huge fan, and OMC2 was a disapointment to me OMC is awesome, it was very well crafted.
This is how I would rate the cd's.
1-OMC1
2-Empire
3-The Warning
4-EP
5-Rage for Order
6-Promised Land
7-Hear in The Now Fontier
8-OMC2
9-Tribe
10-Q2K
This band was never the same after Degarmo left.
I still love this band.

rediculously underappreciated!

Queensryche deserves a lot more fame and recognition. They are absolutely incredible in concert -- Mindcrime I & 2 back-to-back at the Hard Rock Hotel in Kinocti was the best concert I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few, both modern and classic rock artists. Absolutely incredible band on CD and on the stage.

I love them

I could listen to operation mindcrime all day. I really wish i'd have a chance to see them live but they really haven't been touring that much this last year or so or close to me i'll keep an eye open though. Favorite song would have to be walk in the shadows.

They Rock

By tyjamcam92 11/4/2008 18:10:00
I think Queensryche is a band that never had a chance to really show off there stuff.  They are a great band, and I love Silent Lucidity and Jet city Women.
