I was just wondering what people thouth of the current setup of Queen. I haven't heard them yet. Oh, i almost forgot. if you want to go live in a gangland ghetto them you are a very messed up person.
Queen has been out now for quite a while now, and in the past, it was ahead of its time for their strange songs, and how the band doesn't play a single genre, and after many decades later, it is still ahead of it's time. Night at the Opera was one of the best albums they made that showed how Queen is unlimited. With the hardcore songs of Death on Two Legs, In Love With My Car, and Sweet Lady showed how the members of the band were true Rockers, the songs '39, Seaside Randevous, and Good Company showed how they were beyond rockers, making me think that Queen is one the greatest bands in the world.
After being "dragged" by my sis to my 1st concert (Queen) in Aug 1980, I was never the same. They don't have "one style", and made hits from balads to super-risky epics like Bohemian Rhapsody. They've out-sold the Beatles in many countries, but in the U.S., we got hung up on hair-bands once MTV ruined genuine music (a la "Radio Ga-Ga"). The current incarnation of Queen w/ Paul Rodgers is decent, but it's really just a Tribute Band... but missing out on seeing Brian May play guitar live is a CRIME. Brilliant!!!!!
