Prince of Funk

A chameleon in the industry, always evolving into something new, special and exciting.  The biggest memory I have of Prince was seeing the film, Purple Rain with some of the greatest songs ever written.  I was with my husband at the time, and was absolutely turned on by his gritty, smooth, and sexy moves.  He also could really rack up that guitar!

Yes I've been listerning to Prince since 14 and contiune to do so. He has stood the test of time. Now I have my son joining the bang wagon as well. So once again he is cross-generations in my household.

to those who dig his royal badness,..we have prince party here in chicago every last sunday of the month...ALL PRINCE,...ALL NIGHT...FREE to get in 8pm-4am..all u need is id and 2 not have to work the next day cuz u wont make it!!!

I just went listened to several albums of prince from the mid-80s till his more recent work. Geez louise, his style changes from album to album.  I will give him credit, his experimentation is what has allowed him to grow even though it can be confusing sometimes.  I may not like all of his music (later years sort of) but I will always respect him for his ability to not rest on his laurels and push the envelop of his musical ability.

Her name is Rosie Gaines and she was apart of the New Power Generation.  Her powerful voice can be heard on songs such as "Diamonds and Pearls" and "Nothing compares 2 U" in the early 90's.  Her last album was in 2006 "Welcome to my world".  You can find her on her website: www.rosiegaines.com.      Peace
