This group has influenced generations of southern artists and they have never stayed in one place.  They have managed to stay in the spotlight and maintain a long career.  Few hip-hop acts can say that, Let along a duo from the south.  They have evolved past their youth into true artists.  There will never be another group like Outkast.

It was the last time they would ever have the Freaknik in the ATL when this song was re-released.  Most people don't know that the original Player's Ball record was actually a Christmas record...that's why Andre opens with "it's beginning to look a lot like...whut?" Anyway...it was Spring time...we were stuck in bumper to bumper traffic...I remember my brother putting on the instrumental to Player's Ball...my keyboardist had a video camera...and there we were in the middle of the street...making a video in the middle of traffic...with a freestyle to the Player's Ball...<br/><br/>I've been an Outkast fan ever since.
