biography
Songwriter, producer, vocalist, and instrumentalist Jon B. brings a distinctive focus on smooth melodies to contemporary R&B. Proficient on keyboards, guitar, bass, and drums, he wrote and produced songs for such rap music legends as Toni Braxton, After 7, and Color Me Badd. Born in Rhode Island and raised in California, Jon B. was the son of a professor of music and a concert pianist. Influenced by music found in his grandparents' record store, he began combining '70s soul with '90s hip-hop on his 1995 debut album, Bonafide. It sold more than one million copies and went gold. His second album, 1997's Cool Relax, continued the emphasis on classic hip-hop soul. He continued entertaining audiences, with several concert tours throughout the world. Aside from personal performances, he writes for popular artists including Toni Braxton and the rap group Az Yet. In the new millennium, Jon B. returned to form for a third record. - I am a jon b fan from his 1st album Bonifide. And I still have that cd and still listen to it. I have every JON B cd even the best of, that is just how much I love and enjoy his music. I feel like we have so many watered down artist that can sing in the studio but not real life, I am hear to say I was prevliged to go to a free concert the radio station in ORLANDO, FL gave and he made my decade. HE can SING and is SEXY without all the bling, if you do not have his new album you need to go get it you will not be disappointed. I bought the only two Circut CIty had. OH yeah you need to get the Pleasures you like, Cool and relax, Everytime, are you still down and Jon b Holiday wishes......

- He has done it again. If you are not listening to Jon B., WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!! His new release Helpless Romantic has sexy melodic tones and a smooth RB vibe that brings across a seductive and (dare I sayd it) romantic sound. This has got to be one his best collection of, his version of, smooth RB. Ooh So Sexy turns you on and makes your head nod. Nobody brings the worlds of Hip Hop and RB together quite like Jon B. He keeps getting better with time. You should revisit all of Jon B's previous releases, but DEFINITELY get Helpless Romamntic and get your mind blown!!!

- I've have been on this Jon B kick for a minute now. I've been pulling out my cds and revisiting his all his music and I am having a ball. It's like the music is brand new! People have to give him a listen. He makes really great music. JB it's time...WHEN YOU COMING BACK!?!
