biography

Hard rockers J. Loren and Evan Johns met after Johns' producer father, Andy, heard Loren on a demo tape and was intrigued by the singer's voice. Upon hearing that Loren was looking for a drummer, Andy Johns arranged for the two young musicians to get in touch, and they quickly found that they played well together. Soon guitarist Paul Spatola and bassist Joshua Ansley joined (though Loren also plays guitar and violin for the band and Johns adds piano) and Hurt was completed. In 2006, their debut, Vol. I, came out on Capitol Records, while the following year the appropriately titled Vol. II was released. ~ Marisa Brown, All Music Guide

  - I interviewed these guys on 7-11-08 they are really nice cool guys.. I got to hang out with from beginning to end..about 12 hrs..I had a great time..and will always remember meeting the band who are also my favorite lyricyst..

  - Hey saw you in concert a while ago with some friends, you guys are awsome live, and you were playing your heart out, great job guys keep it up. Yea when they were done playing when I saw them they threw there drum sticks into the crowd and my friend got one ripped from his hand and a girl punched himin the face and broke his sun glasses, lol. It was still amazing next them we can we are certainly seeing you again.
