Although Provo, UT got a good bit of name dropping in the movie Fletch, it went relatively unnoticed in the rock & roll world, until the city -- smack dab in the middle of Mormon country -- spawned the outlaw hard rock and metal outfit God's Revolver. Compared to the better bits of Danzig, with a good base of Black Sabbath and some Skynyrd sprinkled on top for a bit of spice, God's Revolver released their first full-length offering, Little Black Horse Where Are You Going with Your Dead Rider?, in 2008. The booze-soaked offering was put forth on Exigent Records, and won praise from some critics in the underground metal press. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
