George Strait - The Man

26 studio albums since 1981 and not a bad one in the bunch. How many other artists in any genre of music can say the same? That's right, none.
From his debut Strait Country to his latest Twang, George Strait has stood the test of time by remaining relevant through his studio recordings, his live appearances, and through his influence among his contemporaries and the next generation of country music artists.
One could even argue that his best and most enduring work has been released over the past 10 years. His third decade as a recording artist. Truly amazing.
His concert tours continue to sell out arenas across the country too.
Is there another country artist who fits this bill? Hank Williams? Johnny Cash? George Jones? Waylon? Willie, Merle? . . all are legends, but none combine these the three factors listed above over a 30 year span of time.
Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney? All have elements of these factors, but they will have to sustain their popularity and commercial appeal for another decade or more before they can be equally compaired to George Strait.

George Strait will always be one of the most hailed entertainers in Country Music. He has been a strong fundamentalist and has definitely been living the lifestyle of a True Texan.
