The Best Live Shows

While each album is infused with the raw emotional energy, self-effacing nobility and whiskey-soaked lyrics they have yet to release an album that captures the energy of one of their live shows. The fiddle is faster, songs slow on the album are either transformed into pit-forming anthems or tear-jerking renditions. They bill themselves as one of the hardest working bands out there and they live up to that title.
Listening to their albums in release order you can clearly hear their progression as a band and they are similiar enough to always feel familiar yet different enough that you'll probably turn to their earlier works when you want to get out of your seat and later albums sitting around drinking pints.
