The Eels have a unique sound that has found it's way into the most unlikely places, such as the soundtrack for Shrek or Fifty First Dates. That's Ok... a little misunderstood, but OK.
The music is remarkable and sometimes brilliant, the lyrics are often quite heavy and are rarely upbeat. I love this aspect of E's style, but too much of this kind of thing at the wrong time will put me in a really foul mood. At the right time, in the right amount... it's a great experience.
