I have a particular fondness for Cradle of Filth as it did two things, which was introduce me to the lesser-known depths of hard metal, and most importantly, simultaneously bonded me with a man who became my love and future husband. Thanks, COF! You guys were great in Worcester, MA this past January. Come back soon!
COF's early albums are great some of the best british black metal there was. now COF is rather mild and doesnt show any signs of what they once were. they are still good musically dont get me wrong i still listen to their new material, but it pales to what they once made. If you are new to COF and want to hear they they sound like start with Cruelty and the Beast then Dusk and Her Embrace
who cares if they are a bit commercially packaged for a black metal band they rock, Dani's vocal work is amazing and his lyrics are pure poetry. and a plus compared to other black metal bands is you can understand him, but of coarse if its not grunting and unintelligeble you are a sell out(jealous bastards) Keep It Metal
