The trombonist who performs under the name of Buddy, sometimes expanded to Buddy Goldfinger, seems to be a typical member of the Gainesville, FL, band Less Than Jake, at least in terms of forsaking a real surname in credits. Among his similarly identified bandmates are Chris on vocals and guitar and Pete, another trombonist. The value of surnames in the music business has been devalued following the enormous record sales of one of the group's CDs, ironically entitled Losing Streak. ~ Eugene Chadbourne, All Music Guide
