Buckethead is amazing. Anyone that says he is just randomly playing things does not play guitar. What he does is incredably difficult technique wise. He takes musc to a new level. i recommend the "pepper's ghost" album. it has a little something for  everyone.

stunning guitar work

Bizarre, no doubt. Genius, probably. Technically on par with the best guitar players of today.  Saw him in concert recently and was blown away.Although he leans to metal, he does a very nice job with ambient/progressive when he chooses. (Crime Slunk Scene). He styles are a bit jumbled at times, I'd love to see him develop the musicality of someone like Adrian Below.

Buckethead has talent. Being taught by Paul Gilbert when he was younger has put him on top of the rest. His style is unique. A little on the weird side but it's great.

I would also recommend Satriani and Vai to bucketbot fans. :)
