biography

Christian pop singer, guitarist, and songwriter Brandon Heath was born and raised in Nashville, TN. After receiving a guitar as a Christmas gift, Heath's musical future was sealed, and he was writing songs by the time he was 13 years old. After attending a Young Life outreach camp, his spiritual and religious path was also set. Heath began hanging around the Bluebird Café, Nashville's legendary hot spot and proving ground for songwriters, and learned and honed his craft as a writer. He also expanded his spiritual horizons by going on faith and help missions to India and Ecuador. After his guitar was stolen in the spring of 2000, Heath put together a demo CD of his songs to sell and help pay for a new guitar. The CD, which Heath eventually released as Early Stuff in 2004, introduced his soaring, impassioned tenor voice to the world. A second privately released CD, Soldier, produced by Chris Davis, also appeared in 2004. Heath then signed with Reunion Records and his official debut album, Don't Get Comfortable, produced by Dan Muckala, appeared from the label in the fall of 2006. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide

  - I honestly don't know what it is about Brandon. His music just speaks to me on all levels. Every single one of his songs I can relate to. Every single one has helped me out at different points in my life. I could listen to him all day and not get sick of him because he's so amazing. Not to mention he's actually really amazing live! He's one of the few artists that sound just as good live as they do on their albums.
    
    I cannot wait to see all the things God has planned for him! Yay for Brandon Heath!

  - Brandon Heath to me is the greatest singer I have ever heard before in my 18 year adventure, not because he has a great voice definition like some of the idols of the American Dream, but because I can feel him when I listen to him. That is even weird for me to say because I have never felt so strongly about anyone famous in my life or any other regular human being. I had never Heard of him before untill about the end of April when I noticed that he was just an upcoming artist of that month. For some reason I just think new artists are always the best because they give their all and Brandon Heath is no different. EVERY SINGLE SONG ON HIS CD IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! He possesses an Angelic Voice that will bring tears to your eyes that a person is able to describe in great detail everything that he has a strong feeling for and literally puts his heart and soul in his music.
