album review
Their second album, Expo Expo, may have contained filler, but this supplemental remix CD (which followed the gratuitous live CD M-Flo Tour 2001 Expo Expo) spices up even the most mundane tracks with a horde of remix stars, including Yasuharu Konishi, DJ Geetek, London Elektricity, and Asuka Sakai, who won a "remix m-flo" contest. The majority of mixes here are on the house/drum'n'bass side, like the "Deckstream Remix" of "Expo Expo" or the "Sunship Vocal" of "Prism." But then there's also the sleek, funky "East West Vocal Remix" of "Orbit" and a version of "Dispatch" that sounds close to Dragon Ash's rock/rap. The album is tied together with a loose set of skits about an escaped robot, told in a confusing collage of English, Japanese, Mandarin, and Korean. ~ Ted Mills, All Music Guide
