The second volume of KMTT FM 103.7's Mountain Music Lounge series contains snippets -- tunes -- from individual programs aired during 2005. While some real names appear here -- Patty Griffin, the Finn Brothers, Tori Amos, Ben Lee, Joss Stone -- it's the up-and-comers who offer the finest performances. The highlights come from Jackie Greene performing his fine "Honey, I Been Thinking About You," Irish punk band the Frames playing unplugged while doing their negative anthem "Fake," Ray LaMontagne with his utterly soulful and fabulous "Trouble," and Marc Broussard's "Home." For those fascinated by the intimacy of this show, this set will be a blessing. Also, completists of any of the aforementioned artists will have to seek out these generally moving and bright performances. ~ Thom Jurek, All Music Guide
