Their debut for Tri-Phi put the Spinners on the R&B map quickly with the single "That's What Girls Are Made For." Of course, confusion quickly reigned when it turned out that Harvey Fuqua had sung the lead and wasn't even in the group. Chico Edwards replaced George Dixon when the band was signed to Motown, but they wouldn't enjoy another huge hit until they left Motown for Atlantic. If you find this album, grab it immediately.
