Nevermind the Bollocks is one of those classic rock albums that is pretty much cover to cover good. Did it give birth to punk? Sorry, but that is a bit of a stretch. The sad thing about such an amazing album is the fact that it gets pigeon holed in with PUNK. This is just a great album, hands down, and should be considered that. No Sid Vicious on this... and no one seems to recognize the great bands that Glen Matlock went on to play in. Do research people! Great album from a slightly above average band.
What can I say. They gave birth to punk rock and bondage pants. The lyrics that screem the bad of the world governments and its society. It was time of revolution. A time for a change. Thier sound and words brought that to many. They repulsed the masses but woke up the few. And a war was started across the world. For real punkers Sex Pistols lyrics was the Punkers Bible. And Never Mind the Bollocks was the book of Revelations. Jonny and Sid ripped out our hearts and spit on them and we loved it all. Makes me want to Slam Dance. A must have for 80's junkies.
