album review
The lads in the Destro like their metal to be as gnarly as possible -- heavy on the nonstop screaming, riffing, and bashing. And they stay true to this sonic path on their sophomore offering, 2009's Harmony of Discord. Forget about melody or taking a breather: all nine tracks here are metal pushed to the max -- in other words, nonstop brutality from beginning to end. Brace yourself for a full-on assault of the senses before embarking on such over the top ditties as the album-opening "Justifiers of Malice," "Pestilence of Deceit," and "Mouth of the Heretic." If you're OK with little variety and heavy repetition (in fact, if you scroll from song to song, all the tracks begin almost exactly the same), which seems to be the hallmark of extreme metal, then it's time to commit to the Destro's Harmony of Discord. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
