This set combines the five albums -- 1965's Mr. Tambourine Man and Turn! Turn! Turn!, 1966's Fifth Dimension, 1967's Younger Than Yesterday, and 1968's The Notorious Byrd Brothers -- that the Byrds released for Columbia Records with some semblance of the original lineup still intact, all with the bonus tracks that were included in Columbia's mid-2000 reissues. As such, it forms the heart and soul of this pivotal and important American band's recorded legacy. It's difficult to imagine any Byrds fan not having these albums already, but if that is the case, this is a perfect way to get all of them in one swoop. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
