He talks R&B back with style, not to down today, but for a person like myself today's R&B is kinda of lost. As if it doesn't know where it wants to go. Pop, or Neo-soul (many artist don't have a neo-soul voice) nevertheless Saadiq, brings a very refreshing twist this vintage style with "Callling". I appulad him, his genius is edvident the artist he has worked with and wrote for.
I'm not sure if he's one step or ahead or one step behind, but Raphael does it again with an album that is uniquely him. I saw him at the Roxy a few weeks back and the way I see it, the energy he throws down in Staying In Love is second to none. I hope this album sticks.
