Rammstein's second album, Sehnsucht, finds the German prog metal band making a great leap forward. While the group still sounds a little unfocused in places, their blend of industrial noise, grinding metal guitars, and operatic vocals is staggeringly powerful. No other European metal band sounds like Rammstein, nor does any American metal group -- this is powerful, gothic metal that is unlike anything else in late-'90s metal. - I find many more Like able songs of Rammstein in this one particular Album. Yes it doesnt have the kwel Opera-esque vocals of the newer albums, but the tracks listed are more or less a social criticism. Take Eifer, Teir and Engel, these are beautiful songs that aslo critique culture.
