Michael Pluznick and the Small Village Ensemble members, Kim Atkinson and Arthur Hull -- with a number of special guests -- have among them more global musical experience than a small cadre of United Nations representatives. That experience and their honed skills as percussionists culminates in a wonderful drumming experience called Drummers Journey. Caribbean, South American and West African influences are all strongly represented here, making for an amazing variety in sounds...The instrumentation includes most known percussion instruments and is augmented by some Pluznick originals, as well as a guitar. ~ MusD, All Music Guide
