album review
Return to Grimpen Ward is a remix retrospective spanning the group's ten-year career. The level of re-composition here makes this more than a best-of, but indeed an album of fresh material in the Mentallo discography. The Texan brothers behind this duo started as rock musicians, but were later influenced by new wave. This gives their brand of industrial music a tough rock consciousness, especially in the drum programming. Return to Grimpen Ward is heavy, ominous beat music akin to Nine Inch Nails with a reach back to New Order. ~ Tom Schulte, All Music Guide
