This Disc is OUTSTANDING, Production, and Direction is Nice...Lyrically not the Best but not bad..... everything else is so smooth....Listen form the beginning to the end to get the best effect..
The first thing that will come to your mind when listening to "Man on the Moon" is how cohesive the whole project is. Most albums nowadays are a complilation of an artist's hottest songs of the year. They complete about 40 songs and choose 15 of them to put on the album (usually the ones which samples were passed).
Kid Cudi's first studio album is truly awesome. It's a perfect mood album with vibrant hooks and a common theme. From the anthem'esque "Heart of a Lion", where Cudi talks about his drive to succeed; to the epicness of "Sky might fall"... Kid Cudi makes a very complete album. I recommend this to anyone. Though Jay Z may be my favorite artist of all time thanks to his ability to connect so well with success-minded individuals, and though Lupe Fiasco may be one of the best lyricists of the current century... Kid Cudi has crafted his own genre that will be sure to inspire many artist that follow.
I rate this album:9/10 stars
Standout Tracks: Heart of a Lion, Pursuit of Happiness, Up Up & Away
