album review

This double CD is a fine addition to the collection of recordings from the New Life Community Choir. Anchored by the award-winning producer, musician, and pastor, John P. Kee, the album contains over two hours of music which serves as a sort of gospel opera outlining the path to redemption through song. The tracks range from upbeat praise and worship-style numbers like "Right Here" to poignant and often funny spoken word pieces like the leading track, "The Interrogation," and "One Phone Call," on which Pastor Kee meets his match in the form of an elderly woman who is none too willing to listen to the bunk that she thinks he is dishing out. The overall message is constantly driven home -- that even the worst sinners can be saved and that any crime can be forgiven when you accept the healing that Jesus brings. ~ Stacia Proefrock, All Music Guide
