  - many honorary oscar nominations and awards later, heath ledger's dream has hopefully been fulfilled. it fills me with delight that one man changed the whole course of a character, a movie, and the entire comic. years from now we'll all be showing our children the batman movies and when they see the dark knight and they say, "who's that guy in the purple suit?" and we'll say, "that's a man that i watched when i was your age, his name is heath ledger, and he was the bad guy i always wanted to be like..." and to hans zimmer, you made it even better with an awe-inspiring theme and soundtrack, congratulations to you for another successful score of the many movies you have provided the ear candy for

  - The combination of Heath Ledger as The Joker and The Joker's unsettling, screeching, and grinding theme made me squirm in my seat, making that the first time a character and his accompanying theme have done so. Ever.
