I heard FFDP for the first time live. They were opening for Hellyeah and KoRn. I was absolutely floored. I have been a metal fan my entire life and couldn't believe what I washearing from this, then unknown, band. They encompass everything a metal band should be. They blend the brutality and melodic overtones of Nu Metal with the speed and ferocity of old school thrash perfectly. Lyrically, I have no complaints. There isn't a song on either of their albums that I can't listen to and rally behind the meaning. If you are a fan of metal or even curious about it, this band is definitely worth your time.
Music wise, this band is influencing me towards heavier metal. This album has amazing lyrics and heavy hitting music. Salvation is an amazing hidden gem. This band and slipknot are bringing me deeper and deeper in to liking heavy metal. I give this album a 9 out of 10.
