There is maybe 2 good songs on this album. And for all that are blaming Craig for this change don't. It is the doing of John Feldmann, he has ruined other good bands like Atreyu and The Used. But I still am going to be loyal to Escape The Fate because I have liked them so long
thsi album is pretty good but nothing like dying is your latest fashion... i might be better if craig would scream like he did with blessthefall....and this band will never get back to the sound they had with ronnie.... the guitar work in this album might be better though!!!
What the hell happened to ETF? They went from screamo to pop/punk. Craig came from Blessthefall which is a screamo band and now only screams in like 2 songs. Its just a huge change from their last album.
I think Ronnie really influenced the music on Dying is Your Latest Fashion. He had amazing vocals and deep screams. Too bad he had to go fuck himself up on drugs and get arrested.Over all the CD isnt that bad, but totally opposite of what i thought it was going to sound like. Expected more from them.
ETF has gone poop punk! Ashley, Something, Let It Go? They don't sound post-hardcore at all. All Time freaking Low could have played those songs and no one would've been any the wiser!
That out of the way, there are some definite and undeniable keepers on TWIO: The Guillotine II, for instance. It can only be described as epic. 10 Miles Wide, featuring Buckcherry's Josh Todd, is a decent, hard track, as well as We Won't Back Down (even though Craig Mabbit's vocals stretch a little too thin and a little too far past their limits here).
Another comparison that could easily be made, unfortunately, is to the new sound that The Used have come upon. On To The Next One resembles With Me Tonight on The Used's last studio album Lies For The Liars. It's Just Me, a track that will be perfect for the upcoming Halloween festivities... oh wait, the Used already have a Halloweenish song too! Wake The Dead!
This War Is Ours has plenty to enjoy, but, aside from the blistering guitar solos, it has little to offer in the way of ingenuity, which is sort of a letdown considering how much the band hyped it up.
This album is pretty awesome. The songs are pretty good but i wish they were a little heavier on average. I like some of the slower songs but it needs more heavy songs. Its still a pretty sweet album tho so check it out.
It was a good cd i still think the cd theres no sympathy for the dead is better. Guillotine 1 is better than 2. I miss Ronnie but Craig is cool.(Guillotine 2 is more optomistic then the first 1). The only real problem in the cookie cutter lyics in the Flood...
