On the second album by Connecticut metalcore outfit Emmure, singer Frank Palmeri shifts back and forth between a standard-issue death growl and a more melodic clean vocal style, on ten songs that tend to stick to the same template of stuttering unison riffs and blastbeats.   - Emmure is a tight 2-step metal/death-core band with great breakdowns and massive power. They employ interesting rhythms and time signature changes that keep the music fresh amongst many competing bands with similar styles.
