I know Comm. was tryin to to get out of his box on this one, but he shouldn't have done it with Pharrel. Pharrel is not his style and the producing on this album is garbage. However, some songs were good, probably the best was Inhale, and Everywhere (The first part of the verse was nursury rhymes though). And probably the most disapointing things about the album was that there was no Pop's Rap!
Man this CD kinda shook me a little when i first heard it...numbers 1,2,5 and 8 are by far the best songs on the album. I've liked all of his cds especially resurrection, if your looking for pure poetry on an album then pick that one up. i think he should have stuck to his original style on this one
If i wanted a garbage like this i would've bought a Neptunes album or kanye's new album. No Jazz-hip hop beats, no real punch lines but all garbage euro-esque digital sound. Common has dropped the ball with this one thinking he can capture new audience.
I don't blame him tho, since kanye's rise to fame all Common has done was to follow in kanye's foot step in hope of selling more CDs.
