Ben Folds has put together a great album with some very talented college singers singing covers of his music. There are no bad cuts on this album. The soloist on Brick is amazing. The recording of Magic is just that... magic. Effington... I think this recording might just be better than the original.I have been listening to this album almost exclusively all week long, and I am still not tired of it. 5 stars.
I've heard lots of university acapella groups cover famous musicians, but this is the first time I've heard a musician going out to have these universities cover their music and release it professionally. This album is great! Two tracks feature Ben on vocals including Boxing, and Effington - Check them out because they offer a fun new twist to some songs you may already know.
If you're a Ben Folds fan, check this album out. It's well worth your consideration :)
